RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Qualification G10 (NPLQ)

Internationally recognised qualification, covering lifeguarding theory, pool rescue techniques, first aid and CPR. The course is physically demanding and candidates must pass all 3 sections to attain the qualification. It is assessed by a multiple-choice question paper and practical assessment in both first aid (and CPR) and poolside rescue

RLSS NPLQ 36-38 contact hours depending on any additional bolt-on elements.

Successful candidates gain 8 UCAS tariff points on completion of the course

RLSS UK National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches

Supervision and rescue award for swimming teachers and coaches, for programmed sessions. It is a non-regulated award, that includes theory learning, intervention and rescue techniques, emergency action, CPR and first aid

NRASTC: Full award

2-day face to face classroom and swimming pool based learning including First Aid

NRASTC LIGHT: Half award

1-day face to face classroom and swimming pool based learning excluding First Aid. Suitable where the facility has staff qualified as lifeguards (NPLQ) or first aiders who can respond quickly to you in the event of an emergency

RLSS UK Swimming Pool Emergency Rescue Award

A qualification designed to meet industry guidance, for individuals who have a responsibility to respond to a swimming pool area in the event of an emergency. Not intended to replace a lifeguard qualification.

RLSS UK Aquatic Therapy Pool Rescue Award

A pool supervision and rescue award for aquatic therapists and support workers, during programmed sessions. This qualification is endorsed by the Aquatic Therapy Association of Chartered Physiotherapists, but is a non-regulated award.
